June 2024 Writing Contest

 

New for 2024, we’re bringing back the Scribbler subscriber writing contest. Each month we’ll provide a short story prompt and give our box and slim subscribers a chance to write their way to fantastic prizes! Best part - as a subscriber, it’s FREE to enter.

The Prompt:

While working at the local ice cream stand for the summer, Sarah found herself drawn to Alex, the charming lifeguard who always ordered the same mint chocolate chip cone. Their daily interactions turned into long walks on the beach and late-night conversations under the stars. As the summer sun set on their final evening together, Sarah realized that their sweet, fleeting romance had melted her heart in ways she never anticipated.

The Prize: 

The winner will receive a 3-month Scribbler box subscription along with a $25 gift card for the Scribbler shop. Plus their entry will be featured on the Scribbler blog. 

The runner-up will receive a $25 Scribbler gift card and will also have their entry featured on the Scribbler Blog.

Formatting and Submitting Your Entry:

Submissions must be 1,000 words or less, double-spaced, and in 12 pt. Times New Roman. Your entry should be sent in .doc, .docx, or .rtf format to contests@goscribbler.com. Entries must be received by 7/15. Winners will be announced at the end of July.
